Life hack: how to remove a greasy stain on clothes the traditional way
Don’t rush to pour salt on a greasy stain that you haven’t carefully placed on your favorite blouse. And, especially, do not rub it with a colored napkin. This way you will only end up with an additional problem. You will have to remove not only grease, but also dirt. The life hack that you can use to remove a stain, one way or another, involves washing. However, you should not delay cleaning the stain, otherwise the old stain will be difficult to remove later.
1. Place the “damaged” item on the ironing board.
2. Sprinkle the stain with tooth powder.
3. Place a napkin or paper towel on top.
4. I set the lever on the iron to the “wool” position.
5. I iron the stain through the paper for one minute.
6. After the paper has absorbed the grease, all that remains is to remove the dirt.
Next, you will need to hand or machine wash. There is no need to wash the stain to avoid streaks.
There is an easier way out - soak the item overnight in a soapy solution of laundry soap, and rinse it well in the morning, not forgetting to add fabric softener.
Important! After removing the stain, drying only naturally is recommended. Tumble drying is not possible.
Why, you ask? If you fail to remove the stain the first time, drying it in the machine will only make the problem worse.
