A simple antenna for digital TV from a cable and a splitter with your own hands
In order for your TV to pick up the TV signal, you need to install an antenna. If the broadcasting tower is located nearby, then the simplest receiving device without an additional amplifier is sufficient. Let's look at how you can make it yourself.
2 pieces 24.5 cm long will be reflected from the coaxial cable.
On one side, by 8 cm, all insulation, screen and winding are removed to the central core.
You need to retreat 2.5 cm from the stripped core and remove the top insulation. In this segment, you need to remove the foil screen 1 cm from the core to the internal insulation.
Then the bare copper core is bent on the workpieces at a right angle, 7.5 cm from the edge. The second bend is made along the insulation, 6 cm from the first.
F-connectors are installed at the ends of the horns. They are then screwed onto the splitter. They need to be spread apart so that the distance between the parallel copper conductors is 15 cm.
Next, the antenna is connected to the TV with a piece of coaxial cable.
It can be hidden right behind it, but so that its exposed wires do not touch the metal fasteners.
Materials:
- TV splitter 5-1000MHZ;
- coaxial cable;
- F-connectors – 2 pcs.
