How long does 1 liter of waste burn in a conventional furnace?
Almost any stove can be quickly converted into a firebox by working it out in a tray. This is much easier than assembling a fuel drip system. Against this background, the question arises: how long will the waste burn when burned in a bath, and how much ash remains from it?
For the experiment, pour 1 liter of waste into the tray.
For the purity of the tests, we ignite with gasoline, since it does not produce additional ash.
The ignited waste burns without soot. Almost steam comes out of the chimney, so there is no soot from it.
According to test results, 1 liter of waste oil in a modified wood-burning stove with an attached burner burns out in 48 minutes.
This is faster than with drip fuel supply, but a large amount of heat is immediately released. Considering the low cost of mining, using such a furnace is still profitable. There is no more than a teaspoon of ash left in the burner tray when finished, so cleaning it takes seconds.
