How to switch plastic windows to winter mode
With the arrival of cold weather, experienced homeowners, in order to save on heating the house and retain heat, begin to switch plastic windows to winter mode. If it’s cold in your apartment and a slight breeze is blowing from the window, then you also need to do this method so that the window closes securely and tightly.
There is actually no difficulty here, just a simple adjustment that almost everyone can handle.
We switch windows to winter mode ourselves
Now let's move on to the adjustment. Let's open the window.
At the end of it, on all sides, there are adjusting screws, they are also locks that engage.
This screw is an eccentric and when it is turned it moves. Each screw has a mark, in this case it is a dot (in different cases there may be a stripe or a line).
In this case, we take a hexagon (sometimes a screw for a screwdriver or a smaller hexagon), insert it into the screw and turn the mark towards the window seal.
We rise higher and do the same for the top screw.
Further along the entire perimeter: top, bottom, left, right.
In total, this window model had 10 adjustment screws.
Now you need to adjust the loop. We lift the cosmetic trim and see the screw under it. Let's scroll it a little to the right to push the window a little. In most cases, you can leave it alone.
Next, close the frame. It should press tightly, but close without any extra effort.
Now it shouldn't blow from anywhere.
This completes the window adjustment.
