How to quietly and accurately sew up a hole in clothing
Repairing torn clothes is not as difficult as it might seem. If you follow a few simple tips, even a person with absolutely no sewing skills can sew up a hole. To make everything work, just use tape.
It is necessary to smooth out the hole on the front side, align its edges evenly, and glue a piece of tape on top. Then we turn the clothes inside out, since you need to sew on the back.
A thin needle is threaded with thread to match the fabric. A knot is made at its edge. If the clothing has a large knit, then you should tie a couple of knots at the top. Next, you need to pierce the fabric with a needle a little higher before the tear. The second hand holds the tape from the front side. You only need to grab one loop with the needle.
Moving with a minimum step, you need to pierce the fabric before the cut and go beyond it, thereby sealing the hole. The tape should remain intact. Stitches should be made as often as possible. Entering with a needle is done only on one side. After each stitch the thread is tightened. The needle should go along the tape, but not pierce it.
Having reached the end of the gap, you need to apply 2 more stitches to the whole fabric. Then a knot is made. This is a very narrow stitch, the loop of which requires you to enter the loop with a needle from one side 2 times before tightening it. After tightening it, the thread is cut.
As a result, you will get an almost imperceptible, neat, even seam on the front side. In the example it is visible, since a visually visible white thread is used for clarity.
