A way to save water up to 50%
One of the biggest consumers of water in the home is the toilet. It takes about 5 liters per wash. In addition, each time water is also wasted on washing hands after using the toilet. By making a small modification to the toilet tank, you can rinse your hands without wasting any water at all.
Necessary materials:
- silicone sealant;
- long flexible eyeliner;
- wash basin;
- tap;
- siphon for washbasin.
The process of upgrading a toilet to save water
You need to remove the lid from the toilet tank and remove the inlet mechanism.
It is necessary to seal the water outlet holes with silicone sealant and insert a flexible liner into the side. Then the mechanism returns to its place.
After this, you need to modify the tank cap. The hole for the drain button needs to be widened in order to insert the corrugation from the washbasin siphon. It is better to cut ceramics with a diamond blade. A hole is also made for the outlet of the flexible line embedded in the intake mechanism.
A small washbasin with a tap is installed above the toilet. An embedded flexible line is supplied to the tap. Then a siphon is installed and discharged into the tank. The tap itself must be left open.
Thus, every time you press the flush, water will flow from the tap and drain into the tank.
This will allow you to wash your hands under the stream during this minute. That is, the soapy water will be reused.
After such modification, it is better to use liquid soap, then there will be no white stains left on the walls of the toilet bowl.
