How to make probes for convenient testing of SMD components
SMD board components are so small that you can check them with ordinary probes multimeter uncomfortable. For this, a special tweezer probe is used. You can do it yourself.
Materials:
- textolite;
- thin stainless steel sheet;
- ordinary probes, possibly broken ones;
- tweezers.
The process of making tweezers
It is necessary to grind and bend the ends of the tweezer probes from thin stainless steel sheet. Holes are made in them, then the wires are screwed in with small screws. The tips are screwed to strips made of PCB. The latter are glued to ordinary tweezers. In this case, the tips should not touch it. All that remains is to solder the plugs from the standard probe to the wires multimeter. In this form, the tweezer probe can be used for its intended purpose. Thus, if there are plugs from broken probes, then rework will not be costly at all. You can also ring ordinary parts, even more conveniently than with ordinary probes.Watch the video
