Very often water flows into the gap between the chimney pipe and the roof. Conventional cement mortar repairs solve the problem until the first winter, after which the sealant cracks and the problem returns. The proposed composition has greater resistance, so it can easily withstand the difference between a hot pipe and cold slate.

• tile adhesive;
• fiberglass;
• plasticizer or detergent.

You must first remove the old sealant, and then clean the roof surface with a metal brush.

Next, a repair solution is prepared. To do this, cement, sand and tile adhesive are added in equal parts.

They need to be mixed dry along with the fiber. Then water and plasticizer are added. Instead of the latter, you can pour in a little dishwashing detergent.

The solution is applied around the pipe first to seal the hole.

Then it is necessary to make a gentle slope from it so that the water flows around the chimney and runs down the adjacent waves of the roof.
