Decorating glasses for the holiday
Setting the table for a holiday is a troublesome and responsible task, requiring not only time, but also imagination. Originally decorated wine glasses and cocktail glasses will become a unique highlight and a wonderful addition to your holiday table setting.
To decorate wine glasses for light alcoholic cocktails you will need:
ordinary granulated sugar,
syrup from any jam (it’s good if the syrup is darker or you can tint it with food coloring),
lemon wedge for garnish
and the wine glasses themselves.
To decorate glasses for milk or berry cocktails you need:
glasses,
a few pieces of milk chocolate,
granulated sugar
and fruits for decoration.
Wine glasses and glasses must be completely dry.
First, let's decorate the wine glasses. Turn the glass upside down and carefully lower the edges into the syrup.
The syrup should not be too liquid. Then we put the wine glass on the stem and wait for droplets of syrup to flow down evenly along its walls.
When the syrup is slightly fixed on the walls of the glass, turn it over again and dip the edges into the sugar.
Finish the decoration with a slice of lemon.
The method of decorating glasses is the same as for wine glasses. Only instead of syrup we will use chocolate melted to a liquid state.
Melt 3 pieces of chocolate in the microwave for a little over a minute.
Please note that chocolate hardens quite quickly.
If you do not get droplets of dripping chocolate on the sides of the glass, place the glass in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. Then decorate the edges of the glass with sugar
and slices of fruit.
You can use white chocolate instead of dark chocolate to decorate glasses, and ordinary poppy seeds or puffed rice instead of sugar.
This decoration of glasses will pleasantly surprise your guests. Children will be especially happy.
