“Simple” bracelet made of beads and ribbon
There are many techniques for weaving with beads, but all needlewomen started with simple jewelry. For example, the “Simple” bracelet using beads and a satin ribbon works well for beginners as an easy tutorial.
As you already understood, you will need beads of any color and a satin ribbon (quite thin, about six millimeters). Of course, you can take a wider ribbon, but then the number of beads will increase and you will need to select them by eye. You can weave a bracelet using fishing line, monofilament or strong thread. It all depends on your preferences; I find it more convenient to weave such light bracelets using nylon thread.
Have you already prepared your beads, ribbon and needle and thread? Then start weaving a simple bead chain (woven on two threads). String ten beads on a thread, pass the second end of the thread through the last three beads, closing the thread into a ring, now string two beads on one thread, five on the other, and pass the first thread through the last three beads on the second thread. You will get a second ring; in this way weave a chain of the required length.
When the chain is ready, simply weave a ribbon of the required length into it (so that its ends are easily tied on your wrist). The “Simple” bracelet made of beads and ribbon is ready! Now you can move on to mastering more complex bead weaving techniques. Good luck!
