A scientific way to wash away brilliant green and iodine. It turns out it's simple
There is probably no person who has not soiled his hands or his clothes with iodine and brilliant green. While they are more or less washed off from the skin, it is almost impossible to remove them from fabric. However, there are ways that allow you to remove them 100% without leaving a trace.
1. Iodine removal
Iodine stains are completely removed by the pharmaceutical drug sodium thiosulfate.
We take its ampoule, open it and pour iodine onto the stain. This is an inexpensive, publicly available tool. It is so effective that it makes even a concentrated iodine solution transparent.
After bleaching the stain with the drug, all that remains is to simply wash the clothes in the machine. The product can also be used to remove iodine from the skin.
2. Breeding brilliant green
Stains from brilliant green can be removed with other reagents.
To remove them, you need to apply washing powder and add a little water to activate the reaction.
The powder will work best if you add pharmacy hydrogen peroxide instead of water.
When removing the brilliant green, you will still have to rub the item a little, as when washing. After this, the remaining powder, brilliant green and peroxide should be rinsed with water.
