How to Recover Lost Zipper Teeth
Today it is difficult to imagine human life without fasteners such as zippers. They are present on almost any clothing, bags and backpacks, shoes, etc. It’s annoying when 1 or 2 teeth fly off and the zipper stops functioning, and replacing this attribute will require a lot of money and time.
How to repair 1 or 2 zipper teeth using pliers
But don’t be too upset, because there is a simple and accessible technique for correcting such a zipper defect with your own hands. To do this, we will borrow 1 or 2 cloves from the upper part, where the slider usually does not reach.
We perform this operation using pliers, with which we clamp the clove and pull it towards us until it is in our hands. Then we install these 2 cloves with our hands in those places where they were missing. If the clove cannot be installed only with your hands, then you can loosen it a little with pliers and put it in place.
Then we ensure that the distance between the teeth is equal to the rest, and we compress the teeth with the same pliers, but without much effort.
Now you need to tidy up the top of the zipper so that the slider does not pop out.
To do this, use pliers to remove the stops and install them above the remaining upper teeth. The slider, resting against them, has no opportunity to jump out, and the zipper will function for a long time, saving time and money.
