Brooch made of satin and satin ribbons

The decoration for any dress or outfit is undoubtedly an additional accessory. This can be either a beautiful necklace or beads, as well as some beautiful brooch. A handmade brooch will look very exclusive. Handmade accessories and jewelry are especially considered valuable because they are almost impossible to repeat, they are unique and exclusive. Today we will make such a decoration in the form of a fabric brooch with our own hands, what we will use for this:

• Red satin fabric;
  
• White satin ribbon 5 cm wide;
  
• Green satin ribbon 5 cm wide;
  
• Thick cardboard, we will use for templates;
  
• Red heart for the middle;
  
• Ruler;
  
• Lighter;
  
• Glue gun;
  
• Scissors;
  
• Pencil;
  
• Needle with thread;
  
• Tweezers;
  
• The basis for the brooch is made of metal material.

We will have a brooch in the shape of a flower of three tiers, which we will make from satin ribbons and satin fabric. From these materials we will cut out circles from which we will make petals for the flower. We take thick cardboard and draw three circles of different sizes: the diameter of the small circle is 5.5 cm, the medium one is 6.5 cm, and the large one is 8.5 cm.Cut out all three circles and get templates. We apply the large and medium circles to the red satin fabric.




We apply the smallest circle to a white satin ribbon, as well as to a red satin. Cut out six large red circles, five medium red circles, and six red and white small circles. We burn everything in a circle with a lighter.




Making big petals. Let's take a big circle.




Fold it in half with the right side facing out. Take a thread and a needle, step back 1-2 mm from the edge and sew with small stitches in a semicircle.




We tighten the thread and get this petal. We make five more of the same. Now let's do the middle ones. Fold the middle circle in half.




We also stitch and tighten. We make five middle petals in total. And we get five small petals, red and six white.




The petal blanks are ready.




Take a green satin ribbon and cut five 5*5 cm squares.




Now we cut out petals from these squares and burn them along the edges. We take one petal, fold it face inward, hold it in tweezers and burn it with a lighter.




We straighten it out and here is the result. So we make four more petals.




We still have one more small red circle, we will use it as a backing for the brooch. Cut out a circle 5.5 cm in diameter from white cardboard. We will collect a flower for this circle.




We take large petals and glue them in a circle to the cardboard with a glue gun.




Now we glue the middle petals, then the small ones and add white petals to each tier.




Glue a heart in the center.




Turn the flower over and glue the green petals, cover them with a red circle and glue it.




Now glue the flower onto the metal blank. The brooch is ready and will go perfectly with your outfit.
