Rose from a plastic bottle

Good day to all. You can make many different crafts from plastic bottles. It’s not for nothing that this material is classified as waste. Not only can you make a vase, basket or bird feeder from it, you can also make a rose from a bottle.
For this you will need:
- Plastic bottle (blue or white, as well as green).
- Scissors.
- Candle.
- Matches.
- Wire.
- Nail polish.
Cut off the bottom and neck of the bottle and cut it lengthwise.

Cut the bottom off the bottle

From this blank we will cut out the required number of petals. I cut out 7 pieces, but then increased this number to 11 pieces. There is nothing terrible if the petals are not the same shape, the flower will turn out even more beautiful.

Now let's use a burning candle and slightly heat the edges of each petal. Do not bring the petal close to the fire, it may become smoked. This way the edges of the petals will become more beautiful and interesting.

heat the edges of each petal

Now let's take the required piece of wire. The wire must be sheathed. I took the old wiring. This will be the stem for the flower.

We take one petal and bring its edge to the bottom of the candle flame. As soon as the plastic begins to melt, quickly press the petal to the end of the wire, only making sure that a small tip of the wire sticks out.

We do the same with all the petals, only changing the place where the petals join.

The flower is ready, you need to make the stamens. To do this, cut a small rectangle out of plastic and cut a fringe out of it, without cutting to the end.

Cover the ends of the fringe with nail polish.

After the varnish has dried, roll the workpiece into a tube and melt the stamens over the fire. Do not bring it too close to the fire, the varnish may burn.

Now we heat the workpiece from the side where there is no fringe, and quickly insert it into the middle of the flower.

Now the flower itself can be slightly melted over the fire, thereby giving it “life”.

Cut out two leaves from a green bottle. Their edges also need to be melted over a candle. You can also give them shape using fire.

We heat the bottom of the leaf over a candle and press it against the stem. We do the same with the second leaf.

The flower is ready. Let's give the stem a beautiful and stable shape and such a flower will decorate the table. In the same way, you can create a large bouquet and put it in a vase.

Until next time.
