Felt mobile phone case

The most important and necessary electronic item nowadays is a mobile phone. In modern life, we simply cannot imagine our existence without a mobile phone, since, starting from a small schoolchild and ending with adults and elderly people, they have this very important item. Every parent will always have peace of mind if their child always remains in touch and can tell where he is and whether he needs help. It’s the same with grandparents, they are like children who also need guardianship and care, and their adult children, having dialed and heard a voice, will ask about their well-being and remain calm, since everything is fine with their parents and there is no reason no worries. One conclusion follows from this: a phone is simply a necessary thing that you carry with you every day. Accordingly, every day the phone can be scratched, dropped, or scuffed, but we need it to serve us for a very long time, then for its careful storage we need a special protective case.In retail outlets selling mobile phones, there are no problems with buying cases; they are available in different sizes for a specific model, from different materials: leather, silicone, leather substitute, etc. All this is good, but you really want your phone to have an exclusive one and an unusual case that you can make with your own hands, sew it, for example, from felt and decorate it with beads, buttons and other decor. This educational master class will teach us how to sew such an interesting case ourselves.

So, we can start sewing and we will need to take:
• Acrylic felt in red, pink, white and turquoise colors, 1.5-2 mm thick;
• Cardboard for flower patterns;
• White threads and floss of several colors;
• Czech beads in red, green, yellow, blue, brown and orange;
• Wooden buttons: pink and red flowers, a pink bird, a round red button with white polka dots;
• Cabochons with rhinestones in silver and pink;
• Plastic buttons red, white and pink;
• Glue “Moment Crystal”;
• Regular and beaded needles;
• Cotton cord, white and red;
• Scissors, ruler, pencil.




It is very pleasant to work with felt, since it is soft and easy to sew, besides, we will not invent much, but will sew the cover by hand. So, we take our phone and apply it to the felt to determine the size. The cover itself will be pink-red.




From pink felt we cut out a piece 6.5*21 cm, and from red felt 6.5*12 cm. Fold the red piece over the pink one, turn it upside down, and starting from the right corner, sew with pink floss threads using a cast stitch.




Do not interrupt sewing and sew the cover in a circle.




We try on the phone in the case.We cut the loop and sew it with thread so that it does not fray. Sew a button at the level of the eyelet.






Draw flower patterns on cardboard.




We cut out flowers and circles of different sizes from different felt.




Place flower on flower and sew on beads.




We tie a bow. Now we glue the buttons, flowers, bow and cabochons with glue.
