Mini scales
This morning I came up with the idea to make a mini scale so that you can weigh from 1g. I started looking for various junk around the apartment from which I could make them,
This means we will need a soldering iron, wire cutters, an awl, a needle file, nylon thread, two medicine cups (I have “XO” cough medicine) (or other suitable ones, you can also use bottle caps), a knitting needle from a broken umbrella, and something like All!
1) remove all excess from the knitting needle with wire cutters, the result should be:
2) then use a file to clean the place where the two spokes meet and solder a piece of wire with a soldering iron (I took the remnants from the first point) something like this should come out:
3) make three holes in the cups with an awl and tie the threads:
4) collect scales! I tied the cups with a thin copper wire to a knitting needle (there should be holes on the sides), then we fastened the scales (I inserted them into a plastic tube and into a soldering iron stand):
5) balance the scales; to do this, you can use any small objects, placing them in cups (nuts, pieces of tubes, pieces of paper) so that the arrow wire is parallel to the knitting needle on which the balance beam is held.
All scales are ready! I had speciallaboratory weights, if you don’t have them, you can use our trifle! After weighing the coins I got approximately:
5kop=4,100
25kop=2,800
10kop=1,600
1kop=1,400
50 kopecks=4.120

Good luck !
