Men's birthday envelopes
Quite often we come across such a global problem when we start looking for present on birthday. Sometimes it even turns out that it is much easier for a person you know very little to choose a gift than for your family and friends. This is especially true when choosing a gift for men. There is literally a whole problem here. But don’t despair, you just need to use a little logic and imagination and find a way out of this situation. Moreover, mostly in groups, at friendly parties, anniversaries, it is still customary to give money, so then you don’t need to bother much at all, but just find or make an envelope for a cash gift. So, to be a special and memorable guest at a birthday party, you can make an envelope for money with your own hands. You can make such an envelope using an interesting technique called scrapbooking. Now we will take a look at such a master class, in which we will make two envelopes of different shapes for a man’s birthday.
So we take:
• Black A4 cardboard, two sheets;
• Paper for scrapbooking in black-brown and beige-brown tones, sheets measuring 20*20 cm;
• Color pictures with different male illustrations and different shapes: watches, cars, coffee, etc.;
• White-gray satin checkered ribbon 15 mm wide;
• Narrow brown grosgrain ribbon;
• Dark brown satin ribbon with white polka dots, 18 mm wide;
• Birds made of polymer clay, brown and dark brown;
• Dark brown frame made of polymer clay;
• Beige gear cutting;
• Petals are brown;
• Waxed brown cord;
• Bronze-colored metal watch pendant;
• Brown half beads;
• Black ink pad;
• Curb punchers;
• Printed “Happy Birthday” inscriptions;
• Pencil, scissors, glue gun, ruler, double-sided tape, PVA glue.
First we cut out the bases for the envelopes. One envelope will be horizontal, and the second will be vertical. First we prepare the base for the vertical envelope. We divide the sheet into three parts, unfold it horizontally and measure 10*10*10 cm, and measure the height of the envelope 19 cm.
Draw the bend lines and fold the base. Cut the inner pocket in half. This base is ready, let's proceed to the base of the horizontal envelope.
On the contrary, we place the sheet vertically and divide it into three parts 8 * 9 * 9 cm, and 20.5 cm wide.
We also make bends and fold the base. Both are ready, let's start decorating.
The envelopes will have ties, so we cut two different ribbons with two cuts of 12-13 cm each.
We glue with double-sided tape in the center of each. Now let's cut out the scrap paper.
For a horizontal envelope, measure two blanks 8.6*20 cm and one 7.7*20 cm.
For a vertical envelope, measure two blanks 9.5*18.7 cm and one 9.3*9.5 cm.
We cut out two inscriptions and tint each of them along the edges with an ink pad. On the left are the decorations prepared for a vertical envelope, and on the right for a horizontal one.
We use a hole punch to make these decorative strips from leftover scrap paper. We collect the first envelope.
And now the second one. We sew on pictures with inscriptions using a machine. We glue the openwork strips with PVA.
Now we glue the finished decorated blanks with double-sided tape, each to its own base.
We sew each side using a machine. Then we glue the pockets on the sides with PVA glue.
There is very little left, glue it all decoras in the photo with a glue gun and you're done!
Thank you for your attention.
