Homemade book “About bread”
Today I want to share with everyone an interesting idea for creating a book with your own hands. This guide will teach your child to appreciate baked goods and introduce them to the process of making bread from grain to loaf. For the base I used thick cardboard. I cut the leaf in half and trimmed off the sharp corners to give it a more interesting shape. I made two holes on the left side of each sheet. I used a hole punch for this. I covered some sheets with colored self-adhesive film to create a brighter background. Then I kneaded salted dough from flour, water and salt, with the addition of sunflower oil. And she started sculpting. On the first page I made a field and a tractor with a plow. At this stage, the field is plowed and grains are sowed.
The second page shows the process of grain germination under the influence of weather factors.
The third picture is golden ears of wheat.
The fourth page shows the process of harvesting ripened grain and removal by car.
The fifth illustration shows how flour is extracted from grain in a mill and poured into bags.
The last page contains finished baked goods.
When the dough had dried, I painted the figures with gouache paint and coated everything with varnish. Then I connected all the pages of the book with a cord. Children really enjoy looking at the pictures, feeling the texture of the images and writing a story about the process of growing and making various baked goods.
