How to make a keychain in vintage style

A keychain is a necessary thing that can be not only practical, but also beautiful. An original keychain with the image of an antique key will be a wonderful gift for your family and friends for almost any occasion. Making a magnificent keychain with your own hands is not at all difficult, because you don’t have to be an artist to do it.
In order to make a vintage style keychain you will need the following items:
1). A device intended for burning;
2). Preparing a keychain. It can be purchased at a specialized store or cut out yourself;
3). Pencil;
4). Watercolor paints, as well as a vessel with water;
5). Eraser;
6). Glossy acrylic varnish;
7). A synthetic brush, suitable for applying varnish;
8). Squirrel brush No. 5, which is convenient for working with watercolors.
The process of creating a keychain in stained glass style can be divided into several stages:
1.Draw the outline of a key on the blank with a pencil;



2.Draw the key in more detail. Please note that if the key is antique, it should have various intricate details. To create a more accurate drawing, you can use photographs of vintage keys;
3. Use the device to burn out the outline of the key. Also treat the background with a burning device, creating small lines on it;
4.Using an eraser, remove all pencil marks;




5.Paint the background with brown paint, and the key itself with yellow;
6.When the keychain is dry, cover it with a layer of varnish. Leave the keychain to dry for about one hour.


The vintage style keychain is ready! You can make several keychains, on each of which you can depict a specific key. Moreover, to color the image you can use other types of paints, for example, acrylic or tempera. You can also color the scorched drawing with the most ordinary colored pencils.
