Pop-up box-card “Happy Birthday”
A beautiful postcard can be made not only with the help of luxurious and rich decor, but it can also be made unusually beautiful thanks to its interesting shape. One of the interesting styles and varieties of complex postcards are the so-called volumetric postcards or they are also called Pop-up boxes, which complement the postcard with various volumetric elements in the form of cutouts, flowers, butterflies, inscriptions, etc. Moreover, according to monetary policy, this decor quite inexpensive, but looks very beautiful and rich due to its volume. It's nice to receive such postcards present, and do them yourself. Now, if you have been invited to a birthday party, then it will be very original to congratulate the birthday person with such a voluminous card, which will be made by yourself. At first glance, this seems to be a complex postcard and it is very difficult to make, but if you carefully follow the master class below, you can easily make such a postcard yourself. The diagram in the master class is attached, so there should be no difficulties.
So, let's start and take the following:
• Red cardboard A4 format, two sheets;
• Scheme of a three-dimensional postcard;
• Circles are plain red and colored;
• Various pictures with flowers, birds, baskets of flowers;
• Butterfly hole punch and various sheets and scraps of scrap paper;
• Cardboard cutouts of different colors and sizes in the form of flowers, inscriptions;
• Latex roses, red and white;
• Stamens with pink glitter;
• Stamped “Happy Birthday” inscription;
• Pink satin ribbon with white hearts;
• Watercolor paper;
• Double-sided tape and glue stick;
• Scissors, pencil, ruler;
• Glue gun.

So, we lay out the diagram and first cut off a large rectangle of 19*30 cm according to it.

We completely transfer the diagram onto the cardboard and make cuts where necessary, and draw bend lines where necessary.

The base is ready, it is then folded like this into a postcard measuring 14*19 cm. Now we take scrap paper and for each edge of the base we will cut out its own scrap rectangle.

For the large side, cut out two 6.5*18.5 cm rectangles from two different papers. For the bottom of the postcard, three rectangles 6.5*10.5 cm.

For the hanging sides, cut out six rectangles 6.5*7.5 cm. All parts are ready.

We glue some of the blanks directly to the base using double-sided tape.

We will decorate the remaining six and circles with pictures and inscriptions. We try on pictures for the blanks like this. We tint the edges of all elements with an ink pad.

We glue the circle onto the circle, then the picture and the inscription “Happy Birthday” and all other parts are also placed on double-sided tape. Now each element needs to be sewn on by machine.

Now we glue the remaining blanks with pictures onto the base. We sew each part of the card separately.

Now we look at the diagram of the crossbar in the diagram and make three partitions from scrap paper. Glue the card along the side tail.

Glue a circle on top and glue the partitions with a glue stick.

The card is completely assembled, now we will decorate it. We punch holes in many different butterflies from cardboard and scrap paper, or you can buy them ready-made if you don’t have a hole punch.

We make a bouquet of roses with stamens and tie a bow from a ribbon. We glue cards onto the partitions, and then onto the cards we glue flowers, butterflies and various cardboard cutouts.

The card is fully decorated, looks chic and voluminous, so you can give it to the birthday person. Thank you for your attention!
