Easter basket made from scrap materials
In anticipation of the bright spring holiday of Easter, we will start preparing gifts and souvenirs. For example, let's try to make a stand for an Easter egg with our own hands.
Of course, traditionally, craftsmen use willow twigs, bark, straw, and stems to weave baskets. You won’t surprise modern needlewomen with cardboard and knitted baskets either. However, my daughter and I don’t know how to knit or weave yet, so we’ll have to resort to a simpler method of making Easter clothes. crafts. Anyone can create such a stand.

For work we prepare:
- plastic bottle
- a piece of fabric
- PVA glue
- lace ribbon
- scissors.
In the process of work, it became clear that we could not do without thread and a needle.

We will cut the base of the basket from a 0.33 liter plastic bottle. The depth of the resulting glass is about 5 cm. For the handles, leave stripes up to 10 cm long and 1 cm wide. Next, we will make cuts along the edges of the glass and bend them to the outside. To make the basket safe, use scissors to remove the sharp edges of the walls.

Now let's work on the cotton fabric.Look at the elegant pattern depicted on the fabric. Yes, spring, sun, holidays are ahead! From the flap, cut a rectangle equal to the height and perimeter of the basket’s circumference. To calculate the indicated dimensions, you can use a ruler and a mathematical formula, but we will simply attach the fabric to the plastic base and determine the necessary parameters.
Next, lubricate the plastic with glue and apply a cotton rectangle.

It is noteworthy that there are no traces of PVA left on the craft.
We need these two stripes to decorate the handle of the Easter basket. We lubricate the plastic on both sides with glue, and then wind patterned strips onto it in a spiral. Remove extra centimeters of fabric with scissors.

While the PVA dries, take out the lace ribbon. The snow-white thread is decorated with a narrow satin stripe. On the one hand, lace looks incredibly simple, but on the other, it looks amazingly elegant. We will decorate the bottom and top of the basket with this snow-white ribbon.

If in the first case it is enough to cut a piece of lace and use PVA to attach it around the perimeter of the basket, then to decorate the top you will have to use a needle and thread.
We gather the ribbon into folds, periodically applying the finished frill to the folded walls of the basket. When there are enough folds, make a knot, cut the lace and thread.
Lubricate the plastic with PVA and glue the frill.

This could be the end of the craft. However, I wanted to line the basket. We cut out a circle from the fabric, the edges of which are secured with thread on the reverse side.

Place a napkin inside the basket. Now we take out the surprise chocolate adored by children and place it in the Easter basket.

For now, let’s hide the craft away from the household. And for the holiday, we will definitely put some paint in a basket and present it to the recipients.
