Small bouquet of sweets, crocuses made of corrugated paper
A miniature bouquet of sweets is a little prank and a chocolate compliment in present simultaneously. A small but pleasant surprise can please and surprise. And you can do it yourself. In principle, there is no great difficulty in making a candy bouquet, but if you are determined to make such a gift, you will have to allocate at least three hours for it, because You will need preliminary preparations, making the candy flowers and decorating the bouquet.
Even making a small bouquet will take you several hours, especially if this is not a regular activity. So keep in mind that you need to start work by scheduling this time.
What you will need to make a bouquet: Truffle candies, wrapped in pound type - 5 pieces, corrugated paper in two colors (one of the colors must match the color of the candy wrapper), wooden skewers for kebabs, napkins in two colors, tape, stapler, heat gun, wrapping paper mica in green tones, ribbon for bouquet decoration.
We start by making candy flowers. We make blanks for the petals from corrugated paper. We cut strips along a sheet of paper so that the corrugation is across the strip. The width of the strip is 4-5 cm. Then we cut the strip of paper into fragments 10-12 cm long. Each flower needs 6-7 petals. We prepare petals from each rectangle of paper.
We fold each rectangle by approximately one third, at the fold we twist the paper two turns and place the smaller part on top of the larger one, while slightly stretching the corrugation in the center, obtaining the shape of a petal. We make the required number of petals.
We stick a wooden skewer with the sharp end into the chocolate candy in the place where the candy wrapper is folded. We twist the candy wrapper tightly around a wooden stick, then attach the first tier of three to four petals, the wrapper should be on top. We secure them to the stick with thin tape. Then we assemble the second tier of petals and also secure with tape. The tape should not only connect all the petals, but also attach them to the skewer stem.
For our bouquet we will prepare 5 of these flowers, reminiscent of crocuses. Each flower is complemented by a lush accompaniment of transparent wrapping paper with green streaks, which imitates sepals.
Cut the wrapping film into squares measuring 22x22 cm and fold as shown in the picture, slightly shifting the corners four times. Then we wrap the resulting folded leaf around the flower, twist it around a wooden skewer and secure it with a stapler and tape over it. The flower is ready.
To complete the bouquet, we will add 4 more fluffy flowers, which we will make from napkins.
We fold 6 white napkins and cut them into 4 pieces. We fasten each square part with a stapler in the center, cut the corners of the square to a circle and make cuts from the edge to the center.Fluff the napkin and get a round flower - a carnation. To decorate the flower we use a burgundy napkin. Cut the napkin in half and fold each square in the same way as you folded the mica wrapping paper. Wrap the napkin around the skewer and secure with tape. Using a heat gun, glue a white carnation to the central part of the napkin.
We collect seven skewers with flower tops into a bouquet and secure it tightly with a floral ribbon.
All that remains is to wrap the bouquet. To do this, measure out a piece of corrugated paper so that you can wrap the assembled bouquet one and a half times. We fold it widthwise so that one edge is higher than the other, making a double level. We wrap the bouquet, while the paper needs to be gathered together.
We fasten the closed edges with a stapler. Once again we wrap the finished bouquet with flower tape and slightly stretch the corrugated paper around the edge to give it volume.
If there are small decorative butterflies or bees, you can add them to the bouquet design. That's all, the sweet compliment in the form of a bouquet is ready.
