3D postcard with tulips
A postcard has always been a distinctive sign of attention and a cute addition to a gift, which is so easy to cheer up. It’s especially nice to receive a handmade postcard. If it is made with your own hands, then you can attach a special meaning and choose exactly what will please the recipient.
Because not everyone is good at design style scrapbooking, which is most used in the production of postcards, and not everyone has the necessary elements to decorate such gifts, we offer an option available to everyone for making a 3D postcard using the technique origami, which is in no way inferior to classic scrapbooking.
Prepare colored square stickers, an A4 sheet of decorative cardboard, ribbons for packaging green and white flowers, curly glitter, a mini butterfly made of paper or plastic, a thermal spray gun, and scissors.
A postcard with a 3D effect will be created using voluminous tulips made using the origami technique.
Each tulip is made from a square piece of paper. An office colored sticky note is just the right size for the job.
We fold the tulips according to the origami pattern. When making such small flowers, it is difficult to give them volume. To do this, you can carefully use a thin wooden stick or a pen rod, inserting it into the hole of the folded box and straightening the side walls.
The stem for the tulip needs a simple one, without a leaf. Just roll the same green office sticker into a tube. Insert the stems into the hole of the flower.
Let's make 7 tulips.
Cut 4-7 pieces of 20 cm each from green plastic tape. Tie ribbons on the stems of the tulips. If the ribbon is wide, divide the ends into two parts and twist them using scissors.
Next you need to arrange the bouquet.
Fold a sheet of cardboard in half.
Arrange origami tulips in the composition. If you are satisfied with the result, then using hot glue, begin attaching the flowers to the front surface of the folded cardboard sheet. Other glue will not work for this job, because... flowers do not have a smooth surface for gluing.
When all the flowers are fixed in place, tie a bow from any suitable ribbon in a contrasting color. We fix it with hot glue at the base of the bouquet.
It's worth adding a little sparkle to the card. Glue the shaped glitter along the edge of the card.
Well, then all that remains is to place a congratulation, a picture, a photo, a poem inside the card.
The postcard turns out to be unusual and impressive; making and giving one is a pleasure.
