Construction of a house from aerated blocks

Currently, the markets offer an abundance of building materials of varying densities that are used in building a house. At the same time, when choosing a building material, everyone strives to ensure that the house is reliable and warm.
Recently, a building material such as aerated block has become popular among buyers. This is one of the types of concrete. When producing aerated blocks, high temperatures and a certain degree of humidity are maintained. In addition to the main ingredients, aluminum chips are added to the solution. The composition is processed in a special autoclave, which increases the strength of the material.

Aerated concrete blocks have a number of undeniable advantages:
1. Durability.
2. Block dimensions. Each manufacturer has different block sizes, with different strength and thermal conductivity.
3. Produced at construction enterprises, mainly in large quantities. Fully complies with GOST and has a certain size.
4. Ease of transportation - aerated blocks belong to the category of lightweight building materials.
5. Ease of installation due to smooth edges on all sides of the block.
6.Economical. Its cost is much less than a brick.
7. Has good heat and sound insulation properties.
8. Amenable to self-processing. If necessary, it can be drilled or sawed, and also given any desired shape.

9. Speed of construction - due to the large size of the block itself.

Disadvantages of aerated concrete blocks:
Among the shortcomings, only one can be highlighted: the gas block is not a moisture-resistant material. But this drawback is easy to remove. It is enough to do the exterior decoration of the house. The exterior decoration of the house can be done with: facing bricks, siding, and so on.
But the most important thing in all this is that to build a house it is not necessary to invite a specialist; you can do everything yourself. It will require much less effort than when working with other materials.

But first of all, it is important to calculate the required number of aerated concrete blocks and other building materials. The sizes of the blocks must be selected depending on both the climate and the heating characteristics.
Aerated concrete blocks are laid out on the finished foundation. To connect the first row with the second, a cement-sand mortar is used. And for subsequent rows, special glue is used. Before applying it, the surface is slightly moistened with water. The glue lies smoothly, thanks to the smooth surface of the block.
The peculiarity of this glue is that it dries quickly. Therefore, there is no need to delay laying out and aligning the blocks. The row can be adjusted within 15 minutes after installation by tapping with a rubber hammer.
