Piece of felt cake
Children love to play with toy food, because feeding a child doll, or playing in a real “Shop” or “Restaurant” is so cool! With such games, children develop faster, and adults can directly participate in them. Sew a piece of cake for your child - it will be the most expensive present for him, because he was made by his mother’s hands. You can sew several of these pieces and then combine them into a big cake!
Necessary materials:
Manufacturing process:
1. Cut out a triangle-shaped pattern from paper.
2. Place the resulting triangle on felt of both colors and cut out one triangle each (top and bottom piece).
3. Add a strip of beige felt to the resulting triangles (width 4 cm, length depending on the size of the triangles). This is the side of the piece.
4. Sew the beige stripe with a buttonhole stitch to the pink triangle first.
5. Then sew on the bottom triangle using beige felt.
6.On one side, the side part remains open - we will start filling the toy with filler into this hole.
7. After the toy is completely filled with filler, sew up the side hole.
8. Let's start decorating. Along the perimeter of the upper part of the triangular piece of cake, sew beads and sequins alternately.
9. From red felt we will make one marshmallow for decoration. Cut out a small circle.
10. Make 8 cuts at equal intervals.
11. Round off the cuts as shown in the photo.
12. Sew each tip of the felt piece resulting from the cuts made. Then pull the thread and you will have a marshmallow.
13. Sew 3 beads to the top and secure the thread.
14. Sew marshmallows to the corner of a piece of cake.
The finished product will always delight you! By the way, such a delicious cake can serve as a pincushion for needlewomen, or play the role of a decorative element in the kitchen interior!
