Materials for production:
Manufacturing process
1. The basis of the postcard is designer cardboard with embossing, cream color, A-4 format. Fold it in half.
2. Use a ruler to measure the height and width of the future postcard. The resulting size is 20x14 cm. Subtract 0.5 cm from both values. Using the resulting measurements, cut out a rectangle of contrasting colors from designer paper.Glue the rectangle onto the base using double-sided tape.
3. Cut another rectangle from designer paper, first reducing its dimensions by another 0.5 cm on all sides than the previous one. Glue it with double-sided tape. It is recommended to use double-sided tape to avoid deformation of the paper when drying. Glued parts have a neater appearance. The result was a layering effect and a bright frame along the contour of the postcard.
4. Prepare an envelope. Choose paper of any pastel colors to suit the taste of the master. Cut out a square measuring 6x6 cm. Fold it like an open envelope. Glue the bottom parts of the envelope.
5. Glue the envelope, turning it slightly diagonally, on the lower left side of the card. Decorate the envelope with a cut out and glued bow.
6. Cut out 15-20 hearts of arbitrary sizes and shapes from paper of various colors and patterns.
7. Cut out 3 red hearts of the same shape from cardboard. Fold them in half. Glue together the inner sides to obtain a three-dimensional main heart.
8. Glue the prepared multi-colored hearts in such a way that they appear to be flying out of the envelope. Glue both the inside to the top of the envelope and the bottom layer, without completely covering it with glue. Raise the top of the hearts. The impression of airiness and multi-layering is created. Alternate plain ones with hearts with ornaments.
9. Glue a red 3D heart in the upper right corner.
10. Add several small hearts with glitter in the area between the envelope and the volumetric heart.
11. The front part of the card is ready. To decorate the spread, an accordion of 3 hearts will be used, which opens up when the card is unfolded.
12.To make it, cut a strip of cardboard 18 cm long and 5-7 cm wide.
13. Draw the strip into 3 cm segments. Fold the accordion, the sides of which will be equal to these 3 cm.
14. Draw half a heart on one side of the accordion. Cut out. The hearts should be connected to each other by a section of 1-2 cm.
15. Glue the edges of the accordion inside the card on both sides of the fold, at a distance of 2 cm. Before gluing the second part, check how the accordion behaves when the card is completely closed and opened.
16. Make a light accent with two hearts in the lower corners of the card spread.
"The love letter is ready." It is attractive because it does not require many special materials. Paper, scissors and glue can be found in any home. You can also vary the color choice in any desired tone. In terms of the complexity of production and the time it takes, the postcard is quite simple, so its execution will not create problems for novice craftsmen.
