“Ice cream” clip made of satin ribbons
Before creating the “Ice Cream” hair decoration, you need to prepare:
- wide satin ribbons in yellow, white and mustard shades.
- clip 5.5 cm long.

- mother-of-pearl half beads.
- light green cabochon.
- glue gun.
- a piece of yellow felt.

All ribbons must be cut into equal lengths of 5 cm, so that the result is squares. To create ice cream you will need 5 yellow, 10 white and 9 mustard colored parts.
Now you need to take one yellow piece and fold it into a triangle.
Holding the corner of the piece with your fingers, you need to tuck both sides of the triangle.
Continuing to hold the edge of the workpiece with your fingers, you need to bend it in half, guided by two fold strips.
The corners that were squeezed with your fingers need to be cut and straightened. The resulting new multi-layered section must be strongly scorched with fire to fuse them together.
Having measured 4 mm from the fold strip, all excess ribbon should be cut off with scissors to create the depth of the part.The resulting sections should also be singed so that they do not crumble and are held together.
The result is a neat petal.
The same petals must be made from the remaining prepared squares of different colors.
The result should be 5 yellow, 10 white and 9 mustard-colored blanks. The white and yellow parts can be put aside; now you will need mustard-colored blanks.
Now you need tweezers; they need to pinch the edge of the petal 1 mm.
The fabric that is above the tweezers should be slightly melted with the fire of a lighter. Then, retreating 7 mm, you need to make a second tuck of the same kind, but it is important to ensure that it turns out symmetrically.
The part takes on a triangular appearance and shape. All other mustard-colored ribbon petals must also be processed.
From the received parts you need to assemble an ice cream cup. It is created from three rows.
To create the first row, you first need to glue two parts together, combining their side parts, with the pointed edges of the blanks pointing one down and the other up.
Then you need to attach the third workpiece, also securing it on the side.
This completes the first row, you can put it aside and begin assembling the second level. In the third row, the parts must be glued in the same way, only their number differs; here you will need 5 pieces.
Now you can connect the finished rows of mustard-colored parts. And finally, under the first row you need to attach one piece, finally forming an ice cream cup.
Next you will need white petals; you need to make a semicircle out of them, gluing them together on the sides.
The resulting blank of 10 white parts should be attached along the wide edge of the ice cream cup.
Then you need to glue a small fan from the yellow parts, combining all 5 blanks.
The resulting fan should be glued on top of the white petals, but without interfering with the mustard-colored parts.
It turns out ice cream. It is necessary to turn it inside out and mark the outline, cut out a similar part from yellow felt. The created felt part should be glued on top of the bottom of the ice cream, creating a beautiful decoration and hiding the places where the petals are glued.
All that remains is to secure the hair clip. It should be placed horizontally and along the edge line of the mustard-colored parts.
Now the ice cream should be complemented with a light green cabochon. At the points of contact of the mustard-colored parts, you need to glue half beads.
