Elastic band “Marshmallow”

The original “Marshmallow” decoration will make even a simple braid a charming and bright hairstyle.

To create a “Marshmallow” gum, you should prepare:
- yellow hair elastic.
- silicone rods and glue gun.
- 5 cm wide satin ribbons in yellow and white shades.
- rhinestones with a diameter of 2 mm.
- a lighter.
- yellow cabochon.
- scissors.
Creating the “Marshmallow” decoration.
It is necessary to make equilateral parts in the shape of squares from white and yellow ribbons. The sides of the parts must be equal to the width of the tapes, at least 5 cm.

You will need 16 squares from yellow ribbon, and 24 pieces from white ribbon. Then, from the details of each shade of ribbon, you need to make triangles by folding them along a diagonal line.

Now the parts need to be placed one on top of the other, placing the white triangle on top and the yellow triangle on the bottom. Be sure to ensure that the fold lines of the two parts match.

Holding the aligned triangles with your fingers, you need to position their fold lines horizontally. Then the corner of the right edge should be bent towards the center of the part, heading towards the lower corner.

Then you need to repeat the sequence when folding the right side of the part.

The result is a rectangular blank, with two sides of cuts. They need to be leveled, cutting off small irregularities and treated with the fire of a lighter to solder the tapes.

From the remaining 15 yellow and 15 white squares you should create the same petals. In total you will need 16 parts for the flower.
Then the corner of one petal should be placed in the middle of the second, having previously smeared the side with glue. Gradually gluing the sides of the petals into the center of the previous part, it is necessary to form a small circle from them.

There are 8 white squares left, from which you should make petals for the middle of the decoration. To do this, you need to make petals from blanks of white tape, repeating the above-mentioned description.

There is no need to singe the cuts with fire; the part needs to be bent along the central lines.

Now the corners should be slightly cut, creating a right angle relative to the fold lines. The new edge must be scorched and treated against shedding.

It is necessary to retreat 4 mm from the fold lines, the excess depth of the petal should be cut off, and the edges should be carefully singed.

The result is a droplet-shaped petal.

From the remaining 7 squares of white braid you need to create the same details.

The white petals now need to be glued together, creating a circle.

It turns out to be a small white flower; it must be placed in the center of the yellow circle, smeared with glue in advance.

Then you will need a circle from a yellow ribbon that will neatly hide the underside of the prepared decoration.

This circle needs to be treated with glue and attached to the underside of the flower.

Next, you should attach the prepared yellow elastic band to the decoration, having previously determined the middle of the flower.

Now you need to secure the yellow center in the center of the white flower, and small rhinestones along the edges of the petals.

Decoration “Marshmallow” is ready!
