Hair clip “Sunflower”
The sunflower is a true symbol of summer and sun. This plant not only has an original appearance, but a whole range of useful properties. At the same time, the bright shades of a blooming sunflower allow you to use the image of the flower when making charming hair clips and elastic bands.
To make the Sunflower clip you need to prepare:
- glue gun.
- lighter.
- satin ribbons in two colors: black and yellow.
- beads with a diameter of 3 mm in black color.
- scissors.
- steel hair clip.
- yellow glitter.
Making the Sunflower clip.
To create this clip, you will need a satin ribbon with a width of at least 5 cm. This width will serve as the size of the sides of the blanks for creating the petals. As a result, you need to prepare squares from yellow and black tape.
The sunflower should be created starting from the middle, which will be black. Each part must be bent in half, resulting in triangular blanks.
Then you need to fold the black parts twice more.
Now all raw sections are collected in one place.They have an uneven and crooked appearance, so they should be trimmed and completely scorched with a lighter.
Then the parts need to be turned upward with the fold line and the excess length of the tape should be cut off perpendicular to this strip. The resulting sections must be heavily heated to bond each layer of tape together.
The parts should be turned out along the created seam.
The result is voluminous curved petals.
Now you need to prepare the yellow petals. Yellow squares should be folded in half, giving the shape of a triangle. Then repeat the action.
Now two such blanks need to be placed one on top of the other, aligning the main corners and edges.
Next, the double part should be bent in half, as a result, the sharp corners join together and form uneven edges.
They need to be leveled, cutting off the excess, and the resulting edge should be treated with the fire of a lighter.
All that remains is to correct the depth of the parts by slightly trimming the remaining raw edges, which also need to be processed with the flame of a lighter.
This makes a petal for a sunflower; you will need 19 of them in total.
Now you need to cut a small circle from the black tape, the diameter of which is 4 cm. Treat it with fire so that the fabric does not fray. Then a lot of black beads should be glued to its front surface, placing them tightly one to the other.
Then you need to attach voluminous black petals around the resulting circle.
Next, the yellow petals need to be secured between the black parts.
It remains to glue the second row of yellow parts, attaching them to the gaps of the first tier.
On the wrong side of the base of the petals, you need to close it with an additional circle of yellow ribbon.
Now you need to attach the steel hair clip.
All that remains is to turn the flower back over and decorate its yellow petals with sparkles.
