Decorative chair - souvenir
Today it is fashionable to decorate the interior of a room, shelves, shop windows with decorative elements. Mini-copies of ordinary objects, such as a chair, a piano, tiny almost toy vases with flowers, and paintings, are especially touching. You can make such a souvenir at present girlfriend or colleague. The best option is a chair because it is associated with many professions. This could be a hairdresser's chair, a computer chair, a pianist's chair. In general, if you add the necessary accessories to it, you can get different options.
So, to create this little miracle we will need:
- Foam sponges – 2 pieces.
- Nice fabric (not very thick).
- Glue "Titan".
- Wire.
- Insulin syringe.
- Gold edging.
- Ring (from curtains).
- Cardboard.
- Threads.
- Acrylic paints (black).
Let's start by tracing the ring on the foam rubber with a pen and cutting out the circle with a stationery knife. This is the future seat of the chair.
Now we will also outline the ring on the cardboard and make a hole in the center for the syringe. The chair leg will come out through it.
Next, cut out a circle and a strip of the required length from the fabric. Making soft upholstery for a chair. We sew the circle to the strip, turn it inside out and put it on the foam rubber.
Now let's work on the chair leg. To do this, carefully remove the cannula with the needle, remove the piston and cut off the syringe from the needle side to the length we need. We place three pieces of wire inside the syringe.
We put a cardboard circle through the bottom, after which we bend the leg holders on three sides at the bottom, like a computer chair. And at the top we leave the wire pieces free. Using threads, sew each of the three segments to the cardboard as in the picture.
Next, we put on top of this structure the soft seat that we made earlier and glue it to the cardboard. This is what happened.
Well, now it’s the turn to make our chair even more attractive. Why do we sew beads onto the top of the seat, deepening them into the fabric. On the reverse side we fasten the threads to the cardboard.
Then we cut out another circle from fabric smaller than the chair and glue it on the bottom to hide the rough work.
Let's move on to assembling the upper soft part of the chair. We cut out the next element from cardboard, foam rubber and fabric.
And also a long strip of fabric. The foam part should be smaller as in the picture.
We sew the fabric parts together. We sew or glue them to the foam base. Next we glue it to the cardboard.
As with the seat, we decorate the soft top with beads. Secure on the reverse side with threads. Then we cover the back side of the part with fabric.
Chair assembly
We glue the ring to the bottom of the seat. We connect the back on cardboard with glue to the seat of the chair.
We take a decorative gold edging and frame the unsightly parts of the chair (peeking cardboard at the top and on the sides). We also make armrests.
We paint the plastic ring and syringe with a thin brush with black acrylic paint.
Our chair turned out to be only 15 cm high.
Now the work of creating a decorative chair is completed. All that remains is to select the accessories. Whether it will be a hairdresser's chair, an accountant's chair, or a pianist's chair is up to you.
