Sweet Christmas tree
The New Year holidays are coming soon and I want to please myself and my loved ones with unusual and delicious gifts. Since the New Year is a time of sweets and fun, I came up with the idea of making a sweet Christmas tree from caramel and tinsel. And so for this, I bought half a kilo of small caramel, cordon and green tinsel from the nearest store. Of course, the choice of candies and the color of the tinsel depends on your taste, but I wanted to bring my Christmas tree closer to the real one.
Where to start? To make a sweet Christmas tree, we need to prepare a workplace, plus all the necessary materials:
- cordon,
-scissors,
- tape or stapler.
- New Year's tinsel
- candies, in my version I used small caramel
To begin with, you should cut a cone from the cordon and glue it together.
Then, cover the lower part of the cone with tape and tinsel on top.
Stick caramels onto the second row of the cone.
I first stuck the candies onto the tape, and then the tape with the candies onto the cone. If you use double-sided tape, you can first stick it on the cone, and then attach the candies on top.
It is more convenient to attach tinsel to the cones with a stapler; this is for those who do not want to bother with tape. And so row after row of tinsel, candy, tinsel candy.
And we’ll put 3 candies on the top of our Christmas tree and secure them on the back side with tape or staples.
And then we continue to decorate it row by row.
Now the Christmas tree is ready!
To make it more stable, you can make a bottom from cordon and glue it.
The top of the Christmas tree can be decorated with serpentine or small beads.
The whole job takes about 20 – 30 minutes. Inexpensive and tasty, and most importantly unusual present ready for friends for the new year! Treat yourself and your loved ones!
