Christmas tree made of tinsel and jewelry
On the eve of the New Year, apartment owners are haunted by the thought of how interesting and unusual it is to decorate their home for the holiday. Of course, in the center of the room there will be a Christmas tree with purchased and homemade toys, and paper snowflakes on the windows will attract the attention of passers-by. How to decorate furniture sets and, in fact, the festive table?
Christmas trees made from tinsel and old jewelry are suitable for decorating cabinets, sideboards and living room cabinets. New Year's crafts do not require any special skills. All professionals, without exception, can handle the job, even children.
So, to make a Christmas tree you will need:
- cardboard cone (made in advance)
- a piece of green tinsel (diameter 2 mm)
- scissors
- stapler
- old (unnecessary) jewelry.
The first step is to wrap the cone in tinsel. We decided to use crafts a tape 3 m long, 2 cm in diameter with pronounced white edges. To create a Christmas tree, you can use wider options, for example, with a diameter of 3 or 5 cm.
You can start work either from the top of the cone or from the base.We fix the edge of the green tape with a metal staple using a stapler. Next, we continue to wind the tinsel in a spiral, tightly pressing each subsequent turn to the previous row. At the end of the work, there should not be a single gap left on the cardboard.
Now let's look at our treasures - children's and adult jewelry. The arsenal includes several beads made of different stones and glass, rings, and a couple of sequins. Let's start decorating the artificial Christmas tree with colorful garlands.
On top we will place several threads with tiny fake pearls. It seems that this number of garlands is enough. Otherwise, we risk completely covering the green needles with decorations. By the way, you can simply hang the beads on the Christmas tree, or you can carefully, trying not to damage the jewelry, fix the position of the threads with a stapler.
What to attach to the top of the Christmas tree? Of course, ideally, the symbol of the year should be placed here - the Red Proud Rooster. However, we do not keep figurines among beads, earrings and rings. We decided to opt for a butterfly.
And here is an option with a large sample of sequins in the shape of a flower.
