We transfer the design to a T-shirt, mug or smartphone case
If you want to make a T-shirt that no one else has, then this easy master class is for you. I'll tell you how easy it is to transfer any color design onto fabric, a mug, a cell phone case or another surface. This does not require very scarce materials and a lot of time. The whole process will take about 15 minutes.
The main material you need to buy is thermal transfer paper. It is sold in stores with office equipment supplies. Or it’s very easy to order it online - HERE.
For me it looks like in the photo, but you can buy it in a different cover, the essence is not so important. All of it is in standard A4 format.
We take one sheet out of the pack and insert it into the printer. You need to insert it with the clean side without the mesh. The mesh on the reverse side is a backing that will later be removed. Color inkjet printer.
In Photoshop we make the drawing you need or download it from the Internet.
We print the image in a mirror image.
Take a clean white T-shirt and fold it in half. I will transfer the drawing to the chest.
Iron the area under the picture so that there are no wrinkles.
Take the printed design and apply it to the T-shirt. Align. If necessary, cut off excess edges from the paper.
Then we place the iron at the beginning of the paper. We wait a little, then iron the entire sheet. The iron temperature is usually set to the middle before ironing. You can find out more accurately by reading the instructions on the cover of your paper manufacturer.
Let's wait a bit until everything cools down. And very carefully we will pry the backing over the edge and begin to tear it off.
The design should remain on the fabric. Take your time and remove the backing completely.
The finished result. Exclusive T-shirt in front of you.
This is how it looks on me.
The pattern holds up just like store-bought ones, so you can safely wash them.
Take a mug and print out a suitable design, then cut it out to the desired size.
Using double-sided tape (regular tape can melt), we glue the design to the mug so that it does not move off during ironing.
And then iron it carefully with an iron.
Peel off the backing by the edge.
The original mug is ready! Now you know how to make a great one present to your family and friends.
You will need a transparent plastic case.
Just like with a mug, print the design to size and cut it. Glue it with tape.
Iron it carefully. Here you need to be especially careful not to melt the case itself, or overheat it, otherwise it will leak.
It's time to remove the backing. Everything here is a little different from the T-shirt and mug. To remove the backing, the cover must be soaked in water at room temperature for 30 minutes.
After time has passed, scrape off the paper with your hands. Not with your nails, but with your fingers, making pellets.
Here is an almost finished case with a completely unique design.
The result of the image translation.
If you make this for your beloved friend, I think she will be absolutely delighted.
