How to brine pork belly
Pork belly consists of layers of meat and lard. This meat is especially good for salting. Salted pork belly is everyone's favorite snack. It can be served as slices or used to make sandwiches and canapés.
Not everyone knows how to salt pork. But this is not such a tricky thing. It is enough to stock up on salt and spices. And detailed instructions will tell you the rest.
We separate the garlic into cloves and peel it.
Wash the pork belly in clean water and cut into small pieces. They should be approximately the same size.
Using a knife with a sharp tip, we make pocket cuts inside each piece.
Place garlic inside each pocket.
Pour salt and pepper into a plate.
Mix.
Dip each piece of brisket in the resulting aromatic salt. We do this carefully and from all sides.
Afterwards we place these pieces on the bottom of a small saucepan. We press them tightly against each other. Leave the brisket to salt in the cold for a day.
After this, you can taste the meat.To serve, cut it into thin slices. Mustard and black bread are great additions.
