Many representatives of the stronger sex are not fans of cuisine and cooking. However, a real man is quite capable of mastering a simple shurpa recipe. It can be prepared in a deep frying pan or cauldron from a minimum amount of ingredients. The recipe for shurpa is very simple; it can be cooked in a deep frying pan on the stove or in a cauldron over a fire. And you will have a very tasty and nutritious lunch or dinner that you can feed not only yourself, but the whole family.
Ingredients
For a simple shurpa you don’t need much:- meat, young lamb or pork 700-800 g. It is better if it is not very fatty;
- onion 300 g;
- garlic, a couple of cloves;
- salt;
- potatoes 700-800 g;
- oil 50 ml;
- water 1.0 l;
- pepper, ground;
- herbs and spices of your choice.
Cooking shurpa quickly
1. Cut the meat into pieces weighing approximately 40-50 g. For quick shurpa, you should not use beef, it takes too long to cook. Although, if you have plenty of time, take it, no one forbids it.
2. Pour oil into a deep frying pan or a saucepan with a thick bottom.Heat it up and fry the meat until crispy.
3. Peel the onion and 3-4 cloves of garlic. Cut the onion and garlic into slices. It's not worth grinding.
4. Transfer the garlic and onion to the meat in a frying pan and fry for about 10-12 minutes.
5. Peel the potato tubers and cut them into large pieces. Small potatoes don't need to be cut at all.
6. Transfer potatoes to meat.
7. Pour water into the meat and potatoes; its level should not be higher than the level of the potatoes. Cook the shurpa for about 40 minutes over moderate heat, covered.
8. 5 minutes before the shurpa is ready, you need to quickly salt it, add pepper to taste, herbs and spices.
Serve the finished shurpa hot, especially if it was cooked with lamb meat.
Usually other vegetables are added to shurpa, for example, carrots, sweet peppers, tomatoes, but if a man found only meat, onions and potatoes in the kitchen, then this set is quite enough for a hearty and tasty shurpa. Bon appetit!
