Narrow bathroom cabinet
The cut chipboard is covered with a paper edge using an old iron.
Having aligned one edge of the edge with the corner of the part, use a hot iron to smooth the edge along the entire end. When heated, the glue melts and sticks the edge. Carefully cut off the protruding edge of the edge with a sharp knife.
A hot iron leaves dark stains on the edge, which can be easily removed with a damp cloth and any cleaning agent.
Then, the prepared parts are put together (according to the design) and on the outside, the center of the hole for the conformation is marked. A hole is drilled with a special drill, and in the lower part, the hole must be deepened, otherwise the conformate will tear the chipboard. Based on the fact that the thickness of the chipboard is 18 mm, the center of the future hole should be marked 9 mm from the edge of the top part.
Having assembled the cabinet box in this way
On the side walls it is worth marking holes for attaching shelves. In a specific case, two shelves are “tied” to the dimensions of the facades (doors). Having secured the shelves, you can proceed to preparing the facades.
A hole is drilled in the door for a furniture hinge. The specificity of the work is that the hole is not through - only for the loop to “sit down”. The seat size of the loop is 35 mm. For this purpose, feather drills with a central tooth up to 5 mm long are used. A Forstner drill also copes well with this task.
The inserted hinges must be secured with screws
and placing the door against the side wall of the cabinet, mark the holes for attaching the curtain.
Having screwed in the screws to 9/10 lengths, you need to adjust the facade and tighten the fasteners.
Decorative legs with an adjusting nut are screwed to the bottom part of the cabinet.
The assembled cabinet must be fixed at its permanent location. Conventional straight lugs were used for this purpose.
