DIY computer desk

Quite simple and nice design computer desk. Yes, of course, compared to store-bought ones, it is much cheaper and the design, if anything, can be changed however you like, to suit any interior.

Advantages of this computer corner:
The design is cheap and easy to manufacture.
You can set the tabletop to any height.
large table depth. Previously used for a CRT monitor tube.
there is room to stretch your legs (from the edge of the table to the corner 80cm).
Very efficient use of room space - does not take up much space.

The tabletop is made from a solid chipboard (600mm wide).

The corners are cut off from the original rectangle and the resulting trapezoid is attached to the wall with the corners (blue circles).

The far corner of the table is cut out of the scrap and placed on two washers screwed to the tabletop from below (green in the diagram) and a screw screwed into the wall (red). You can make a shelf from other trimmings.

A block of sockets is fixed under the tabletop.

and systems specialist

I recently added laminated chipboard shelves to the table. Strengthened it at eight corners.

Load testing of the countertop - everything is fine, it stood up to it calmly!

Load testing of a 42 kg shelf:

Cost in general:
Tabletop: 600x1600 ~700 RUR
Corners for tabletops: 4 pcs ~20 rub.
Shelves: 20x100x3 + 20x130x3 + 25x15x4 ~350 rub.
Ribbon for edging shelves: ~50 rub.
Screws and euroscrews: ~50 rub.
Corners for shelves: 100x125 ~10 pcs ~140 RUR
Total: Table and shelves: 750 + 600 = 1350 (with reserve)

PS: The system unit on the wall is the result of the fight against noise. The more massive the base, the less it resonates from the body. That's why it hangs on the wall. Ideally, it is better on a permanent wall.

well, to each his own!!! The advantages are that there is free space in the room. - something that is not so convenient for everyone. I need a lot of space on the tabletop. not enough(. But in general, for those who are not particularly keen on computer tables - a good option!

According to Feng Shui, they say you can’t sit in a corner. there's bad energy there

cool, but the corner table was enough for me, such stupidity was what the designers of the table were thinking about fig knows where and how to get in it, not to mention the connections, okay, I cut it with the boards myself, I messed it up to the side for the place of the shelf, but another problem was I had to move the table away from the wall quite a bit, almost 30 cm, just like that, now I’m screwed with these corner tables, I’ll buy a regular rectangular one and a longer one it’s a torment on a small one, what to do, in general, no matter what, but it doesn’t work for me and there are only 1 free corners by the window, and there it’s blowing and the oak tree in winter, I’d rather sit by the sofa, let the table take up more space than the corner one, but it’s convenient, otherwise it’s not a bad idea, but I don’t fits

    dnara,
Ugh, "you can't sit in a corner..." You're in a corner yourself! Not in the corner, but in the corner, literate!

    Alex,
You can't do it in coal either. Coal gets very dirty. Then they won’t be allowed to go to the ball.

The power supply is hanging on the wires - this is no longer correct. The system unit does not stand on legs, the mounting points of which are not in vain profiled around, but rests against the edges of the corners with its bottom. If you assemble a serious computer in such a cheap case, then over time dents will appear in the bottom. And the fact that only 2/3 of the width of the body is supported on the support also risks its overturning. So under the system unit you just need to put a shelf made of the same laminated chipboard, which is screwed and secured with self-tapping screws. Attaching shelves with such corners looks a bit shabby.
