How to straighten thick wire without effort

It may be necessary to perfectly align very thick steel wire. How to do it? It would seem that the problem cannot be solved in a home workshop. Since it’s difficult to even bend a wire 4-6 mm in diameter, let alone straighten it...
But there is a way out and it is very simple, although additional parts and mechanisms will be required.

Aligning the thick wire

So, you need to find a log, a piece about half a meter in length. In it, closer to one of the edges, we drill a through hole with a diameter larger than the wire itself.
Next, insert the end of the wire into this hole.

The other end of the log must be wrapped with a cable and secured with a tie.

The second end of the cable must be attached to a reliable support, such as a concrete pillar. And at the end of the wire, put an ear clamp with a plate in which there are two holes. We bend the wire and insert the snake into these holes.

Next, this clamp is placed on the car's towbar.

And now, using a machine, we pull the wire through the hole in the log at an angle.

As a result of these actions, the wire will be perfectly straight.
