Making a foam nozzle for a garden hose
When washing a car, carpets or paving slabs with a garden hose, there is a very lack of foam nozzle, as in car washes. Having half an hour of free time and inexpensive plastic fittings for an adhesive PVC pipe, you can make such a nozzle yourself.
You need to twist the sprayer from a garden gun and glue in a glue adapter onto a 3/4-inch thread instead. To do this, you can use regular hot melt glue so as not to wait for the specialized composition or silicone to dry.
Then you need to glue the detergent supply tube into the tee through the 1/2-inch side outlet. To do this, you first need to cut the tube obliquely, and then slightly drill out the inner corner in the tee.
This will allow you to glue the tube with a sharp cut parallel to the internal passage of the tee.
The hose is positioned evenly and then glued.To prevent the glue from blocking the passage of the tee, you can temporarily cover it with masking tape.
A 1/2-inch barrel hole is drilled in the bottle cap.
Then he glues it into it.
After this, you need to make a hole in the neck of the bottle and insert a small piece of tube into it. It is needed to equalize pressure. If there is only a hole without a tube, the detergent may splash out during operation. The tube must be secured with glue.
Next, you need to screw the barrel with the lid into the tee onto the inlet with the tube. The tube itself at the bottom is cut at an acute angle along the length of the bottle. In this case, the inlet will always be open.
Then you need to screw the adapter on the garden gun into the tee. To do this, use the opposite outlet relative to the sharp spout of the glued tube. Next, you need to connect the gun to a garden hose.
An adhesive adapter is screwed onto the remaining free outlet of the tee.
To use the foam nozzle, you need to fill the bottle with a concentrated solution of shampoo or other detergent. When water is supplied through the sprayer, the flow will create a pressure discharge, due to which the product will begin to rise through the tube and be carried away by the stream. As a result, cleaning foam is formed. Shampoo with this method of supply will rise slowly, so it will not be used up quickly.
Materials:
- garden spray gun;
- PET bottle 0.5 l;
- PVC threaded tee with 3/4 to 1/2 inch;
- threaded PVC barrel 1/2 inch;
- PVC adapters from glue pipe to 3/4 inch thread – 2 pcs.;
