How to make a fruit crusher driven by an angle grinder

To grind fruit into puree for squeezing juice on a press, you can assemble a simple crusher driven by a grinder. To make it, you don’t need welding, a lathe or other complex equipment; an angle grinder and a drill are enough.

Materials:

• circular disk;
  
• stainless steel chimney pipe;
  
• M6 bolts and nuts;
  
• a pair of pulleys of different diameters;
  
• drive belt;
  
• car pump;
  
• perforated tape;
  
• furniture board or wide board.

Crusher manufacturing process

First you need to make a knife for chopping fruit from a circular saw blade. It is divided into several sectors. Narrow windows are cut along the separation line for the passage of crushed puree. Holes are drilled between the sectors, and bolts are inserted and tightened with nuts. They will work as whips to break the fruit. In order for the puree to fall down, in addition to the bolts, you need to attach 2 pieces of corner so that they scoop up the mass and it falls down.

A furniture board or wide board is used as the base of the crusher.Half a meter of stainless pipe with a slightly larger internal diameter than the circular disk is placed vertically on it. Then markings are made for 2 holes. One is round in the center, and the second large rectangular one is closer to its inner wall. The pipe also needs to be circled around the outside so that it can be secured correctly later.

Next, the pipe is removed for now. A hole is drilled in the shield along the central mark. A window is cut on the side, and on the back of the shield opposite it, a gutter is screwed in, through which the puree can flow into a bucket. It can be made from cuttings of the same pipe.
A car pump is screwed onto the back of the shield, the shaft of which should fit into the central hole. Next, you need to securely fasten the pipe according to the marks. From inside it, a circular disk will be installed on the pump shaft, and a large pulley will be installed below.

A little to the side under the shield, using a perforated tape, a grinder with a small pulley installed is secured. The drive belt is tensioned between the pulleys. Additionally, the grinder is attached through the shield into the standard hole for the handle.

The shield is installed at an angle so that the puree, under the influence of gravity, falls down the chute into the substituted bucket. The device is very simple and effective. The grinder used for the drive is removed after crushing the fruit and used for its main purpose, so there is no need to buy an additional angle grinder for this.
