How to make a catchable fish trap from a PET bottle
You can catch fish in different ways, even using traps made from ordinary PET bottles. Of course, you can’t get trophies with them, but it’s quite possible to prepare small fish for drying, preparing canned food, or for live bait.
What you will need:
- PET bottle 5 l;
- bottle 1-2 l;
- rope;
- hot glue;
- a large nut or sinker.
Trap making process
The neck of a plastic bottle is cut off.
Then a circle is cut into the bottom of the bottle to accommodate it.
You need to put a large nut inside through the hole and tie it to the wall approximately in the center. To do this, the bottle is pierced to thread the thread.
The neck cut off from the bottle without a cap is inserted into the hole in the bottom of the bottle. It needs to be placed inside and glued with hot glue.
Then holes are burned in the walls of the bottle along the entire circumference.
Next, a rope is tied to the bottle, and bait is poured inside. This could be bread, cake, porridge, etc.
The trap is thrown from the shore into the water. Due to the heavy nut, it quickly fills with water and sinks.
The fish, smelling the bait, approaches the trap and gets inside through the neck of the bottle. After a couple of hours, you need to pull the trap by the rope and get the catch through the wide neck of the bottle.
