How to catch fish with a plastic bottle
Tourists have situations when problems arise with food. If there is a body of water nearby, then the problem can be solved even in the absence of fishing rods.
The device is made from a five-liter plastic bottle and a rope 4–5 meters long. The container is cut with an ordinary knife.
Cut off the top conical part of the bottle.
Unscrew the cap and remove the plastic handle. It is fixed around the perimeter of the neck; use the tip of a knife to cut it and remove it. This must be done - the handle moves and scares away the fish.
Insert the cut part upside down into the remaining bottle. The result should be a structure resembling a yater. The fish will swim into the container through a relatively narrow neck, and exiting it will be difficult.
Use a knife to make a through hole in the bottom of the container. Place it in the center, here the thickness of the polyethylene is greatest - the reliability of fixation increases.
Thread the end of the rope through the hole, pull it out and tie a knot. If the hole is large, then make several knots. The main condition is that they should not allow the rope to be pulled back.
Place a heavy object at the bottom of the bottle: a stone, a piece of brick, etc. It is needed so that the bottle sinks to the bottom and lies there motionless.
Insert the cut neck back and make through holes in two parts. You will need about 4-5 of them, place them at the same distance around the perimeter.
Cut pieces of rope approximately 10 cm long, insert them into the holes and tie the structure. The neck must be securely fixed to the container. If you don’t have rope at hand, you can use shoelaces; two pieces are enough to make a device.
Homemade plastic yater is ready. As bait, lower the crumb of bread to the bottom; it is advisable to first moisten it a little in water and make dense balls. There is no bread - dig up worms, but even with an empty bottle there is a chance to catch fish.
Now all that remains is to cast it as far from the shore as possible; experienced fishermen know the fishing spots. The trap will gradually fill with water and sink to the bottom.
You can check after a few hours by pulling the trap by a long rope. There won't be a big catch, but there will always be something caught on the fish's ear.
Fish are not caught right away, it is better to throw the trap in the evening, during the night there will definitely be fish in it.
