Leather mobile phone case

There are many different types of cell phone cases sold in stores. But what could be better than a handmade gift? Moreover, such a product will be made with love and in a single copy.



The very convenient thing about a leather case is that the edges do not need to be folded, since neither the leather nor the recommended lining fabric frays. And lining with satin ribbon, in addition to being done for the convenience of joining parts, is also a decorative element.



To make a leather case we will need:
• Leather (you can take pieces from an old jacket);
• Soft lining (felt or flannel);
• Thin satin ribbons of two colors, 0.5 meters each;
• Thick tape for covering approximately 1 meter;
• Sewing machine;
• Velcro or magnet.

We measure the phone and make a pattern. The back must have a valve. We transfer the pattern to the leather and lining fabric. Cut it out.



On the front part we put pieces of ribbon cut to width, first of the same color and sew them on a machine, securing them.



Using the weaving method, we stretch ribbons of a different color, cut to measure the length.



We trim the upper part of the front with bias tape or ribbon.



Sew Velcro to the front and to the flap lining fabric.



We fold the bottom parts together and sew a thick ribbon along the edge.



This case is soft and comfortable. The phone will not break or be scratched in it. Even a teenager can handle all the work. You can attach a ribbon or cord to the cover. And you can come up with a wide variety of decorations, you just need to use your imagination. It could also be an application embroidery beads or a beautiful brooch attached. A beautiful cover can be made from old denim or a damaged drape coat. Don’t rush to throw away jackets, jeans and coats, think about what you can make out of them that is beautiful and useful.
