The idea of a homemade greenhouse from PET bottles
To get the harvest early, greenhouses of different designs are used. If you have a lot of PET bottles accumulated, then you can use them to build it. Such a greenhouse transmits light very well, and at the same time does not have an excess of condensation inside.
Materials:
- block 50x50 mm;
- PET bottles;
- wire;
- dye;
- door hinges;
- polyethylene film;
- cord or twine;
- self-tapping screws;
- screws with a ring.
Greenhouse manufacturing process
To meet the parameters of 2 liter bottles, it is necessary to make a frame with strict adherence to dimensions of 110x73x80 cm. You need to use a 50x50 mm block. For the frame, blanks of 101.5 cm, 72.5 cm, 64.5 cm are cut from it. For the greenhouse lid, parts 101.5 cm and 72.7 cm will be needed.
Assembly is carried out using self-tapping screws and coating the ends of the parts with glue. To prevent the block from splitting, it should be pre-drilled.
After assembly, the frame is painted.
Next, vertical blocks are assembled from three bottles for installation in the walls of the frame. To do this, put a second one without a bottom on one whole bottle, then a third one without a neck.
To install it on the frame, you need to burn the blocks at the top and bottom, then string them on the wire.The edges of the wire are inserted into the beam through the holes, bent and nailed with a stapler.
A plastic film is nailed to the greenhouse lid. Then it is screwed to the frame onto the door hinges.
To prevent the door from tipping over, it can be secured with guy wires made of cord tied to screws with rings.
That's it, the greenhouse is ready for use.
