How to make a simple 180W induction cooker
In fact, an induction cooker is an extremely simple device. Even a novice radio amateur can make a fully working prototype. Here is an excellent example to repeat: a simple circuit that does not contain any microcircuits or controllers. Just two transistors and a few other parts will allow you to build an induction cooker with a heating power of 180 W.
Parts you will need:
- Transistors 2 pcs. IRFZ44N - http://alii.pub/5ct567
- Resistors 460 Ohm - 2 pcs, 10 kOhm - 2 pcs - http://alii.pub/5h6ouv
- Diodes UF4007 - 2 pcs -
- Zener diodes 10 V - 2 pcs - http://alii.pub/5myg53
- Capacitor 0.47 µF - http://alii.pub/5myg8z
- Stabilizer chip LM7812 - http://alii.pub/5mygd9
- Inductance 1000 µH -
Induction cooker diagram
The circuit is classic for the simplest self-excited induction heaters.
Plate Coil
The radiating coil of the plate is a “snail” wound turn to turn with a thick insulated wire of 1.5 sq. mm. and consists of 18 turns with a tap from the middle. The coils are glued to adhesive strips so that they do not diverge.
Making an induction cooker with your own hands
The board was made to order. You can assemble the circuit by surface mounting, or on a universal board.
We install all the parts on the board, starting with the smallest ones.
And ending with inductance.
We solder and cut the leads.
We solder the power wires and install the output transistors on small radiators.
We connect the emitting coil to the output of the board.
We must supply power from a powerful unit. When installing metal utensils on the coil, the current consumption should increase significantly.
After 10 minutes the water will boil.
The power consumed by the stove is 180 W, which consists of: 10 A current consumption at 18 V. This power has a higher efficiency compared to heating elements, since it is easily concentrated in the right place and is not spent on heat loss.
