Three Useful DIY Tools
You can make such a simple tool yourself in a short period of time. It will not necessarily be one-time use, because it can be used constantly. Ingenuity will always help out when you don’t have what you need at that very moment.
1. Brush for cleaning recesses
A little bristle is cut off from the brush. Then you need to stick double-sided tape on a piece of wire. Cut bristles are glued onto it.
The wire is bent in half. Then you need to clamp its edges in a vice.
The remaining loop is attached with a hook inserted into the chuck of a drill or screwdriver.
Using this tool you need to roll it into an even spiral.
Instead of brush bristles, you can use pieces of wire from a cable. In this case, you will get rigid equipment for working with metal.
2. Folding stripper
You need to cut 2 parts from a strip of aluminum or steel to assemble something like a folding knife handle. They are folded together and are translucent, as in the photo. Holes are made with increasing diameter.
Then the parts need to be sanded in the corners. They are assembled with the installation of washers between them and the blade of the mounting knife. In the front part of the handle, a hole machined in length is made into which the blade limiter screw will be installed.
This tool is needed to trim the insulation on the wire. First he cuts it in a circle, then it easily breaks off. As a result, in a second we get a stripped wire.
3. Self-tapping core
The screws are hardened, so they are quite hard. This allows them to be used as a core. To prevent its thread from pressing on your hand, a heat-shrinkable tube is placed on top of it.
