Drawing technique “Old gold”
Using this painting technique, unusual golden paintings with elements of volume and antique abrasions are obtained. The technique is quite simple; even a child can handle a simple design without a lot of details. The result, as a rule, is very impressive: the finished work looks expensive and non-standard.
To make one drawing you will need:
A sheet of thick cardboard,
Pencil,
Carbon paper,
PVA glue in a small tube,
Wide brush
Acrylic enamel gold color,
Black wax chalk.
We select a drawing and transfer it using carbon paper onto cardboard. I repeat that the cardboard must be dense; an ordinary sheet of children's cardboard is deformed and curled from glue and paint.
Carefully trace the outline of the design with PVA glue, trying to “draw” uniform lines.
There are a lot of small details in my drawing, so I just had to fill some of them with glue. We wait until the drawing is completely dry.
Cover the dried drawing with gold paint.
In order for the paint to lie evenly on the cardboard, you need to apply it with a wide brush. And again we wait for it to dry.
As soon as the acrylic dries, we apply the finishing touches: use the side of the wax crayon to go over the drawing.
As a result, all convex lines should be colored, and the golden surface should appear slightly darkened.
