Gate valve manufacturing process with code
4 pieces of length 15 cm, 14 cm, 14 cm and 10.5 cm are cut from the strip.
On a short workpiece, you need to cut the metal lengthwise by 0.5 cm, leaving only a small notch at the end.
We apply this part to a workpiece 15 cm long and mark the location of the notch. Then we cut out a reciprocal groove on it.
We drill 3 holes in this blank. One is made above the groove, and two next to the opposite edge.
We drill out the hole near the groove with an 8 mm drill. We connect two adjacent holes with a cut. On a short piece with a notch, drill a hole in the center. On the side of it, at the same distance, make 2 grooves.

Two pieces 14 cm long are welded together. We place the drilled parts on them and align them in the center. Then we leave marks through the holes and drill along them as in the photo.

Now we connect the blanks with bolts and nuts through washers. They are inserted through counterbore holes. The connections need to be locked.
The corner on a workpiece 15 cm long should be rounded. Large washers with slits are placed on top of the bolts and tightened with nuts.
We disassemble the structure and make 6 notches on the back of the washers. They are then welded to the bolts. Studs are welded into the center of the 10.5 and 15 cm blanks, and in the larger part it should be bent.
Let's put everything back together. Then we weld two rods onto the short piece so that they block the large washers in the cuts.
After this, all that remains is to make the mating part for the latch. The lock is installed on the door, and the bracket is installed on the door frame.
On the front lock washers we write numbers along the notches. We remember the combination in which the internal washers do not block the lock. It will only open when it is exposed. Only someone who knows the code can unlock the latch.
