How to glue a thin PVC pipe into a large one without a tee
When assembling various pipe systems, it may be necessary to make branches. To do this, it is not necessary to buy special tees, since it is often possible to make an insertion. This is a budget friendly method that works great.
What you will need:
- PVC glue;
- blade for a hacksaw for metal;
- sandpaper;
- installation hairdryer.
The process of inserting PVC pipes
To make an insertion, you need to take a thin pipe at the place where it is being made and circle it around the walls of a thick one. After this, draw another circle inside the circle, but with a smaller diameter by 1 cm.
Next, we heat the hacksaw blade for metal and burn through the pipe wall. After immersion, cut out the inner circle. We remove hangnails from the wash with sandpaper.
Now you need to heat the plastic around the circumference, and with gloved fingers bend the fitting to connect the pipe. Slowly heat and bend, allowing the plastic to cool in those places where the correct shape is obtained.
Then we lubricate the resulting pipe with glue and put the pipe on it. After the composition has dried, the connection is ready for use.
