How to weld metal as thick as a razor blade
Very thin metal, such as is used to make blades, cannot be welded with a welding machine. Even if you adjust the smallest current at which the electrode is able to ignite, you still get burning. Even a semi-automatic machine cannot cope with such a task. It is possible to connect such thin material, but in a different way.
The process of joining and repairing the thinnest metal
The only available method to join blades or similar thin metal is soldering. This is the only way to almost eliminate the risk of burning it. To work, you will need a torch and a solder rod.
We heat the tip of the solder and immerse it in the flux.
Then we apply solder to the joint of the parts and direct the burner fire towards it. As soon as the solder flows, remove the rod with the burner.
To begin with, we solder spotwise, and when you gain experience, you can try working with a continuous seam. It is only important not to point the torch directly at the part for a long time, since it is still possible to burn through thin metal.
